Cheryl Krauss is joining financial services firm Barings in the newly created position of chief communications officer, effective September 9.
Krauss comes to Barings from BNY Mellon, where she was the global head of communications, technology, digital, operations, client, cyber and incident, most recently working on the bank’s digital transformation initiatives. She was previously worldwide senior director, public relations, at Bain & Company, and served as a managing director at Burson-Marsteller.
In her new post, Krauss will provide strategic direction and oversight for all global communications at Barings. She will also be a member of the firm’s executive leadership team and partner with other senior executives on leading its overall business strategies.
Based in Charlotte, NC, at the firm’s global headquarters, Krauss will report directly to Tom Finke, chairman and chief executive officer.
Finke said that Krauss’ “expertise in strategic communications, combined with a passion for results, will help Barings enhance engagement with key stakeholders.”
