Relevance International has named Fiona Harris managing director of its UK office. Harris was previously head of VIP relations at UK department store chain Selfridges, and before that she served as international director of public relations at Corinthia Hotels and director of public relations and brand development for Kuoni Travel. She has also held several publishing management roles at Condé Nast International. In her new post, Harris will spearhead the day-to-day strategy and execution of public relations services in Relevance’s London office. She also is responsible for fostering new business, expanding the team, and serving as strategic lead for the agency’s London arm, which services clients throughout Europe and beyond.
Spotify has hired Matador Records director of publicity Shira Knishkowy to serve as the company’s communications manager. Knishkowy has been at Matador since 2015, working with such artists as Kurt Vile, Interpol and Yo La Tengo. Before coming to Matador, she served as director of publicity for Partisan Records and as a publicist at Big Hassle Media. She was previously a music assistant at William Morris Endeavor. Based in New York, Knishkowy will report to Spotify head of content B2B communications Chris Macowski.
Hawkins International Public Relations has named Alexis Murray-Merriman account director in its West Coast office. Murray-Merriman comes to HIPR from HL Group in Los Angeles, where she served as senior director, working with such clients as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Eataly USA, W Hollywood and Orbitz. She has also been an account supervisor at NJFPR and an account coordinator at Upraise Marketing & Public Relations. In her new post, Murray-Merriman will focus on continuing the growth of HIPR’s International’s L.A. office. Clients she is working with include Andaz Palm Springs, the vacation company Inspirato and Palmaia Riviera Maya.
