Brandware Group has named Nissan's Daniel Bedore executive VP. Bedore will lead a new agency office in Nashville, serving as managing director. He comes to Brandware from Nissan North America, where he served as director, Nissan division communications. Bedore was previously senior group manager, public relations and social media at Hyundai Motor America and biofuels communications manager at General Motors. In addition to promoting such advanced technologies as battery electric vehicles, alternative fuel infrastructure and advanced driver assist systems, his experience includes retail network communications and consumer activations. At Brandware, he will provide strategic and creative client services leadership as well as leading business development and key accounts for the new office.

Hawthorn

The Hawthorn Group has named Illinois political consultant Jared Melamed Dubnow as vice president, effective Sept. 3. Most recently, Dubnow has been a contract public affairs and strategic planning consultant, specializing in local government outreach, external stakeholder engagement, and grassroots communication. In that capacity, he worked with The Hawthorn Group on numerous client projects. He was previously part of the team that elected Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner, who served from 2015 until earlier this year. Dubnow also served in Rauner' administration in such positions as director of operations for the governor's office, where he oversaw the daily functions of the office as well as external engagement and public events. In his new post, he will design and implement public affairs campaign strategy for various client projects.

Airfoil Communications, the communications division of Airfoil Group, has promoted Angela Leon to vice president of strategy & media relations and Stephen Kurily to senior media relations specialist. Leon was previously director of strategy & media relations at the firm. She was previously an associate vice president at Finn Partners and an account supervisor at Weber Shandwick. In her new post, she oversees the strategy and execution of various marketing communications programs for clients, as well as contributing to new business development for the agency. Kurily, who has been with Airfoil since 2016, is responsible for driving media relations strategy development, implementation and execution on behalf of clients.

The Ehrhardt Group has promoted Dominique Ellis to director of account services. Ellis has been with TEG since 2016, most recently serving as senior account manager. She previously ran her own firm, Dominique Ellis Public Relations, and was marketing and communications director at Easter Seals of Louisiana. Ellis will now oversee all account activity of the firm’s clients. She is also tasked with the professional development of account staff members and working with the firm’s leadership to effectively enhance new business development efforts.
