Edelman has named Carol Potter, president/CEO of the EMEA region, to the newly created global vice chair-brand, position.
Joining Edelman from BBDO, where she held the president/CEO China job, four years ago, Potter led her unit to its highest profitability level since 2012.
She’s eager to ensure that Edelman is in the “forefront of ensuring that our client’s brands are securing trust with all their stakeholders.”

Besides BBDO, Potter worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, MullenLowe and J Walter Thompson.
Ed Williams, CEO, UK/Ireland and EMEA vice chairman, will succeed Potter.
He led corporate affairs and communications for BBC and Reuters and worked five years at Brunswick before shifting to Edelman.
Potter and Williams will take their new jobs on Oct. 1 and will report to Matt Harrington, global COO.
