Three former Golin execs—Caroline Dettman, Pamela Culpepper and Erin Gallegher—are at the helm of Have Her Back Consulting, a women-owned and operated business that will work with companies and brands to advance equity for women while driving business outcomes. Dettman was formerly chief creative officer at Golin, while Culpepper served as chief people officer and Gallagher was executive director of marketing. Interpublic Group, which includes Golin under its umbrella, is taking a minority ownership stake in the new firm. HHB Consulting has its roots in the Have Her Back initiative, which Golin launched in March 2018 to push for gender parity within creative departments at agencies. It is open for business now, with an official launch slated for this fall.

Buffalo Groupe, which represents golf, sport and lifestyle brands, has acquired 54 Brands, a marketing and communications company based in Charlotte, NC. The agency will now be known as 54 Brands, a Buffalo Groupe Company, with current 54 Brands president Jack Burris continuing in that position. Burris will concurrently hold the title of managing director with Buffalo Groupe. “54 Brands’ focus on the B2B sector of the highly fragmented golf industry is complementary to Buffalo Agency’s business,” said Buffalo Groupe CEO Kyle Ragsdale. 54 Brands joins Charleston, SC-based Rawle Murdy and Morning Read as the third acquisition for Buffalo Groupe. Buffalo Groupe was formed in February when Buffalo Agency spun off from parent company Billy Casper Golf.
