Weinberg has also served as executive vice president, marketing & communications at United Entertainment Group, the lifestyle, sports and entertainment arm of Edelman. She has launched such campaigns as MasterCard’s Priceless and Staples’ Easy Button, as well as product introductions for companies including Samsung, Speedo and General Mills. 360PR+ CEO Laura Tomasetti said that Weinberg’s “pedigree counseling some of the most innovative brands and companies, combined with her energizing, entrepreneurial leadership style, makes her a natural fit for 360 as we invest in and grow our footprint in New York and beyond.”

Hill+Knowlton Strategies has appointed Markus Hermsen managing director and head of technology for its operations in Germany. Hermsen takes over from Romina Gerhards, who now leads H+K Germany’s content + publishing and digital planning + optimization teams. Hermsen has held management positions at firms including H+K, FleishmanHillard and Hotwire. As head of tech, he will advise all companies in the tech sector. Before joining H+K in 2018, Gerhards headed Proof, a digital storytelling start-up agency of the Bauer Media Group. Previously, Gerhards served as content director at Achtung! and worked as a journalist for such media companies as Bauer Media Group and Funke Mediengruppe. In her new role, she will develop and implement content marketing strategies for all communication channels.

SRW, a marketing agency focused on natural, wellness and better-for-you brands, has promoted agency co-founder Kate Weidner to CEO. Weidner has been chief operating officer, account lead and chief strategist at SRW for the past four years. Before coming to SRW, she was director of production at digital marketing agency Frequency540 and a producer at Comcast Sportsnet Chicago. Weidner succeeds Charlie Stone, also a co-founder of the agency, who has been SRW’s CEO since its founding. Stone will remain chairman of the agency. SRW has also promoted Ed Velasco to director of agency operations and Bennett Dixon to vice president of accounts.

David Burke

Animation studio Laika has hired David Burke as chief marketing officer. Burke joins Laika from Universal Pictures where he was general manager for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland since 2006. He previously worked with Clarence Pictures, an Irish independent film distributor, where he was involved in releasing a wide range of Irish and International films. He also has extensive experience in film specific third-party promotions during his time with Halo, where he worked with Twentieth Century Fox and United International Pictures. Burke has also served as chairman of The Industry Trust, which works to address the challenges posed by film and TV copyright infringement.
