The Wisconsin Dept. of Tourism has selected Denver-based Turner following a competitive pitch to handle the PR component of its integrated marketing communications push.
The state issued a $12M marcomm RFP in June, which generated 27 bids from 17 agencies in nine states.
Ad agency Hiebing and website developer Simpleview join Turner on Team Wisconsin, replacing incumbents Laughlin Constable and Ascedia.
Angela Berardino, Turner's chief strategy officer, said the Badger State has "all the ingredients that make an iconic American travel destination."
Those include "gorgeous, accessible nature; distinctive culinary voice; and a welcoming, diverse community that wants to share their special home with visitors."
Turner's contract runs for three years with the option of two one-year extensions.
