W2O has appointed Lucie Harper and Kate Hawker as global practice leaders in its London office. Harper comes to W2O from Weber Shandwick, where she led the UK health practice for the past 15 years. She previously held positions at Ogilvy Healthworld, Burson-Marsteller and Penny Ryder Publicity.Hawker has served as managing director of the health team at Edelman and chaired Burson-Marsteller’s EMEA health practice. Harper and Hawker will lead communications teams supporting W2O’s key global clients and work with the firm’s EMEA President Annalise Coady to expand and evolve the firm’s business in that region.

Red Havas has appointed Rachael Sansom managing director of its London office. The agency has also named Natasha Carroll global head of content, based in London, and Mark Campbell senior VP, global clients and business director, based in New York. Sansom comes to Red Havas from Huntsworth-owned Red Consultancy, where she was managing director: consumer. She was previously managing director of the brand team at MHP/Engine, which she founded. Carroll was most recently vice president of the corporate and consumer division at Red Havas’ sister agency Havas Formula, where she oversaw key accounts, including Jaguar Land Rover and ADP. Campbell was previously head of content and partnerships for Havas Australia.

GMMB has brought on Kimberly Hefling as a vice president. Hefling joins GMMB from Politico, where she served as senior education writer, focusing on federal and state K-12 and higher education policy. She was previously national education writer for The Associated Press, and has served as an embedded reporter in Iraq and Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne Division. At GMMB, Hefling will be working with foundations, advocacy organizations, and education agencies. “Kimberly’s understanding of complex education policy and practices as well as all of the factors and influences that can impact the education system is a great addition to GMMB’s word,” said GMMB partner Jacquie Lawing Ebert.
