Michelle Olson was elected 2021 PRSA National Chair at the 2019 PRSA Leadership Assembly in San Diego.

Olson, who runs the Scottsdale, AZ office of New York-based Fingerpaint, has served PRSA as a director, representing the organization’s western district, since 2017. She will be chair-elect in 2020, succeeding Children’s Hospital of Alabama chief communications officer T. Garland Stansell, who will serve as chair.

Previously, Olson founded and led Olson Communications, which was acquired by Fingerpaint in 2014. She specializes in corporate communications and issues management across industries, with expertise in healthcare, land use, hospitality and sustainability.

Also elected to PRSA’s executive committee were Alyeska Pipeline Service Company chief communications officer Michelle Egan, who takes on the role of treasurer, and Prisma Health Midlands Foundation vice president, public relations Amy Coward who will serve as secretary.

The newly elected district representatives are Jacqueline K. Clark (Midwest district), Scott Trotter (north pacific district), Denise Hill (southeast district), Heide Harrell (southwest district) and Angela Walters Eveillard (sunshine district).
