Ron Loch has been named chief operations officer of G&S Business Communications. Loch will take over from Jeff Altheide, who is set to retire at the end of 2020.
Since joining G&S in 1987, Loch has served in various client service and agency management roles, most recently as managing director of the agency’s Chicago office and head of its sustainability consulting team. He also spearheaded G&S’s 2015 effort to transition its visual identity, business name and marketing assets to align more closely with its strategic focus.
As COO, Loch’s remit will be to integrate strategies and daily operations across the agency’s account services, finance and HR teams. In addition, he will manage G&S’s partnership in global PR network PROI Worldwide.
Succeeding Loch as managing director of the agency’s Chicago office is Brian Hall, who has been at G&S for 23 years, most recently as managing director, client service.
Hall will now lead all operational activities in Chicago, including culture and talent development, ongoing operational excellence and new client acquisition.
G&S is O'Dwyer's No. 15 ranked independent firm with $30.5M in fees last year.
