YouTube has named Shana Tepper head of entertainment communications. Tepper was previously vice president of communications for Comedy Central and Paramount Network. Before that, she held the same position at Spike TV. At YouTube, Tepper will oversee press and communications for YouTube’s lineup of original programming, as well as specials focused on artists and personalities. She will be based in Los Angeles, working with YouTube global head of original content Susanne Daniels. “Shana’s arrival at YouTube is key as we focus on creating a hit slate of global series and specials,” said Daniels.

Banner Public Affairs has brought on Emily Grannis as director, communications and public relations. The hire expands Banner’s capabilities in the automotive and manufacturing sectors. Grannis joins Banner from Pirelli Tire’s North American motorcycle business unit where she served as director of marketing, overseeing the day-to-day marketing and public relations efforts for trade, consumers, media and brand influencers. She was previously product and brand communications lead for Audi of America at PMK•BNC, and was a brand marketing specialist at Kawasaki. Grannis will be based in Banner’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, where she’ll support the communications team and help counsel technology and defense clients.

Rogers & Cowan/PMK, the firm formed by the merger of the two firms in July, has made several appointments to the executive leadership team in its entertainment division. Marian Koltai-Levine has been named president, film, content & marketing. She had been head of entertainment strategies at PMK•BNC since 2011. In addition, Lindsay Galin and Jeff Raymond have been named co-presidents, talent; and Dennis Dembia and Michal Donkis have been promoted to co-presidents, entertainment & business strategy. Rogers & Cowan/PMK’s combined client roster features more than 500 actors, musicians, producers, directors, content creators and athletes, including Robert Redford, Denzel Washington, Elton John and Whoopi Goldberg.

Morning Consult has named Olivia Petersen managing director of communications, effective Nov. 19. Peterson joins the company from Whole Foods, where she was global director, global communications, working on crisis communications, corporate messaging, consumer promotion and Amazon initiatives. She previously served as senior director of communications at NBC News and public relations at Politico. Based out of the New York office, she will be responsible for overseeing Morning Consult's communications and media relations strategy.
