BackBay Communications picks up IMPACT Community Capital, which has originated over $1 billion of investments in affordable housing and helped finance more than 45,000 affordable multifamily housing units in the U.S. BackBay will work to promote IMPACT as a platform for institutional investors seeking investments targeting current income, risk-adjusted returns and impact focused on the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals. Other impact-oriented clients that BackBay has worked with include Athena Capital Advisors, Big Path Capital, LeapFrog Investments and Economist Events, for which BackBay provides support for the Climate Risk Summit in London and Investing for Impact Conference in New York.

SourceCode Communications lands Accedian, a Montreal-based company that develops network communication and application monitoring software and hardware. SourceCode’s scope of work includes thought leadership and executive positioning, as well as media and analyst relations. The relationship officially kicked off in July, with the agency focusing on defining the brand’s new messaging. Accedian works with such customers as T-Mobile, Thomson Reuters and Cox Communications to assure their digital infrastructure. It joins the roster of SourceCode’s enterprise practice, which includes voice security company Pindrop, global cloud solutions provider Cloudreach, and mobile data sensing and smartphone telematics company Cambridge Mobile Telematics.

CGPR adds ECOS Paints, an eco-friendly paint, stain and varnish manufacturer, to its client roster. The agency will work with ECOS to establish brand and product awareness through traditional public relations campaigns as well as influencer collaborations, creative project highlights and activations. ECOS says its products are free from chemicals that can cause a number of physical symptoms such as headaches, nausea and chemical sensitivity flareups.
