Sloane & Company has brought on Caleb Barnhart as a VP. Barnhart joins the firm from Weber Shandwick, where he was director of the corporate issues and crisis management practice. He previously worked in the corporate advisory practice at Hill + Knowlton Strategies, where he advised corporate communications and investor relations teams on a variety of issues. In his new post, Barnhart advises Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits and trade associations across a range of industries and specializes in providing counsel on media relations, financial communications and issues management.

Allied Global Marketing chief operating officer Kymn Goldstein will leave the company at the end of the year. Goldstein has been with the agency since 2004 and has been instrumental in the growth of its services and clients as it expanded from its roots in advertising and publicity for movie studios to working across the entertainment, sports and lifestyle marketing sectors. Allied chief executive officer Clint Kendall will be taking on Goldstein’s responsibilities. “We are experiencing transformational shifts in the industry and that means new opportunities and challenges. It seemed like the right time for a change,” Goldstein said.

MediaDC, parent company of the Washington Examiner, has brought on Carly Hagan as public relations manager. Hagan comes to MediaDC from the Fox News Channel’s Washington, D.C. bureau, where she worked in the booking unit for “Outnumbered Overtime with Harris Faulkner” and “America’s News Headquarters.” In her new post, she will be promoting Examiner journalists to television and radio outlets. She will also work with the PR Department on day-to-day publicity and assist with the company’s media training program.
