Kantar is negotiating with Adam Crozier, former CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi and UK’s ITV television operator, to take over the chairman slot.
The London Times, which reported the talks, stresses that a deal is not imminent.
Management consultant Bain Capital paid $4B to WPP last year for a 60 percent stake in Kantar. It made the approach to Crozier, who also ran the Royal Mail and Football Assn.
Ian Griffiths, who was chief operating officer & chief financial officer of ITV, joined Kantar on Jan. 16 in as CFO.
