Golin has appointed of Clifford Lopez as managing director for its Dallas office. Before coming to Golin, Lopez was managing director of iCrossing, president of McCann e-commerce agency Optaros, and executive vice president and chief technology officer for MRM/McCann. He has worked with such brands as American Airlines, ExxonMobil, MasterCard, Nestle, P&G, Pepsi, Toyota, the U.S. Army and Verizon. In his new post, Lopez will work to emphasize the strength of Golin Dallas in technology, digital and analytics. He’ll also help capitalize on the region’s corporate communications offering.

Edelman has named Megan Van Someren global chair of brand. Van Someren joined Edelman in October as global chair of its food & beverage offering, and will continue to oversee global food & beverage. Before coming to Edelman, she was founder and global head of Canteen Consulting. Her previous positions included global strategy director at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide and executive vice president, global strategy director at Leo Burnett. Van Someren will be based in London, reporting to chief strategy officer and global head of practices and services Katie Burke. based in London and report to Katie Burke, Chief Strategy Officer and global head of Practices and Sectors. Van Someren will continue to oversee global Food & Beverage. Edelman’s Brand practice is made up of more than 1,000 employees globally.
Charlotte's Web Holdings, which specializes in hemp CBD extract products, has brought on Kelly Shea in the newly created role of senior vice president of government affairs & corporate communications. Shea was previously vice president – sustainability, sales, trade relations at Danone North America. She has also served on the board of directors of the Organic Trade Association. In her new post, Shea oversees federal and state government relations, corporate social responsibility, communications and customer education.
