Clay Middleton, who worked in the Obama administration and served as a top aide to House majority whip James Clyburn (D-SC), has joined Mercury as senior VP.
The decorated Iraq combat veteran held Department of Energy posts during the Obama presidency including congressional affairs liaison for the National Nuclear Security Administration and special advisor to the Department of Energy’s Office of Congressional, Intergovernmental and External Affairs, and Office of Economic Impact and Diversity.
He also was associate director for the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the Corporation for National and Community Service.
Most recently Middleton advised Cory Booker's presidential campaign after serving two years as director of business services for the City of Charleston and regional director for Hillary for America.
Omnicom owns Mercury.
