The PROI Healthcare Sector is hosting a free webinar at 9 a.m. on June 23 that will offer tips on how to advise clients in an environment where information is changing on a daily basis – and make smart decisions in the absence of confirmed facts. In “Leading Through Clarity: How uncertainty of COVID-19 teaches better ways of communications,” five communications experts from around the world will discuss these topics in a discussion to be moderated by NostaLab founder and Google health advisory board member John Nosta. The Museum of Public Relations will be hosting its second annual Pride event on June 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. This event will be held as a webcast, broadcast over OnStream media. "The LGBTQ Experience in Public Relations" will feature Wells Fargo vice president Del Galloway, BCW president Jim Joseph and GLAAD communications director Cathy Renna. The program will also include two panels of leaders in PR, media and communications, discussing the social and workplace issues impacting the LGBTQ community. The Institute for Public Relations has announced a series of three conferences that will focus on the future of the PR industry. The conferences, which will run from noon to 4 p.m. on Sept. 3, Oct. 8 and Nov. 12, are set to feature a wide range of participants from the media and communications industries, as well as academia. In addition to presenting case studies and research, best practices for dealing with the industry’s “new normal” will be discussed. The conferences are scheduled to include both 30-minute presentations and 45-minute panels.
