Clarity has named Jon Meakin to the newly created role of president, North America, and Kara Silverman is joining the firm as managing director, NYC. Meakin most recently served as global head of strategic services and San Francisco managing director at Grayling, overseeing strategy and execution for domestic and international clients. He has been a board member of the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communication since 2018 and is the founding chair of that body’s Agency Group. In his new post, Meakin will oversee Clarity’s teams in New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Silverman previously ran Various and Co., a creative communications consultancy, and was the first global head of marketing for global podcast company Acast. She succeeds Ruth Sarfaty, who will now serve as Clarity’s head of client services, North America.

Omnicom Public Relations Group has named Soon Mee Kim chief diversity, equity & inclusion officer, a newly created position, effective Sept. 16. Kim joins OPRG after 14 years at Porter Novelli, where she was most recently executive vice president and global diversity, equity and inclusion leader. In her new post, she will be responsible for working with OPRG agency leaders to develop policies, practices and programs that advance diversity, equity and inclusion internally, along with client and external initiatives. “As Porter Novelli’s first executive dedicated to diversity and inclusion, Soon Mee has made a great impact,” said John Doolittle, interim CEO of OPRG. “As the largest group of communications professionals in the world, we have a great opportunity to create long-term change.”
HireVue, which provides virtual interviewing and assessments technology, has brought on Marta DeBellis as chief marketing officer. DeBellis comes to HireVue from information technology company Instructure, where she also served as CMO. She previously held senior marketing positions at Adobe, McCann Worldwide and Intel. At HireVue, DeBellis will lead all marketing efforts, including demand generation and digital marketing, product marketing, field marketing, international marketing and public relations. “Her work across brands, most notably in launching and growing international awareness and demand in Adobe’s cloud solutions, shows that she brings the skillset HireVue needs at this time of significant growth,” said HireVue chairman and CEO Kevin Parker.
