New York Women in Communications is holding its 50th annual Matrix Awards as a virtual event on Oct. 12. The awards recognize women leaders who exemplify excellence, the courage to break boundaries and a commitment to championing the next generation of trailblazers, creatives and communicators. This year’s event, which will be emceed by “CBS This Morning” co-host and The Oprah Magazine editor-at-large Gayle King, honors a group of women that includes CBS News president Susan Zirinsky, Adobe executive vice president and chief marketing officer Ann Lewnes and Times Up Now & Times Up Foundation CEO Tina Tchen. Los Angeles-based social media, PR & events firm Agency Guacamole is hosting its third annual B.L.N.D. (Beauty, Lifestyle and Nurturing Diversity) panel on Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. PST. The theme for the virtual event is Showcasing Black Voices As The Industry Evolves. The free event will be moderated by stand-up comedian, content creator and host of the Colored Couch Conversations podcast Jazmyn W, who has more than 300,000 TikTok followers. The Association of National Advertisers is holding a Media & Measurement Virtual Conference on Sept. 23 and 24.
