Blue Matter, a strategic consulting firm that works with companies in the life sciences industry, hires Craig Dunkley as chief marketing officer. Dunkley has run his own consulting firm, Dunkley Strategic Marketing, since 2017. He was previously chief marketing officer at environmental services company WasteZero, and led the corporate marketing team at Campbell Alliance (now Syneos Consulting). In his new position, Dunkley will oversee marketing for Blue Matter as well as any current and potential subsidiary organizations. Blue Matter managing partner Ashwin Dandekar said that Dunkley’s addition will help the firm “enhance our position as a thought leader, drive up market awareness of our firm, strengthen our approaches to account management, and boost our ability to grow in targeted geographies.”

The Royal Commission for AIUIa, an area of northwest Saudi Arabia that is reopening to international tourists on Oct. 29, has appointed a new global marketing team, led by Melanie de Souza, who serves as executive director, destination marketing. De Souza was previously general manager, digital, marketing services and strategy at Visit Victoria in Melbourne, Australia. She will lead a team tasked with developing AIUIa’s brand, digital assets, trade and consumer marketing, and public relations. In addition, Tyler Gosnell (formerly director of marketing, international at Visit California) has been named head of international marketing and Zoe Shurgold (who served as head of communications at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image) is coming on as head of public relations. The opening of the AIAIa area is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 tourism plan. Wagstaff Media + Marketing is providing marketing and communication for the commission in the American market, and Advocate Travel Marketing is working on travel trade representation.

IT and security operations company Ivanti has named Melissa Puls senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Puls comes to the company from Avid, where she served as senior vice president and CMO. She previously held CMO and marketing leadership positions with Optanix, Progress, Iron Mountain and Infor. "Her market insights, go-to-market expertise and deep understanding of the customer engagement journey will play a valued role on the Ivanti executive team as we continue building our market position," said Ivanti president Jeff Abbott.
