Calvin Klein names Linh Peters global chief marketing officer, according to a report in WWD. Peters comes to the company from Starbucks, where she has most recently served as vice president, loyalty, partnerships and licensed stores product and marketing. She has also held senior marketing roles at Ulta Beauty and Target. At Calvin Klein, she will oversee all aspects of its consumer marketing organization, working to develop the company’s brand experience, product marketing and data-driven marketing innovation. Peters succeeds Marie Gulin-Merle, who is now vice president of global ads marketing at Google.

Wachsman, a communications and strategy consultancy, has appointed Danny Phan chief strategy officer. For the past 18 months, Phan has been the agency’s managing director for Asia Pacific, leading the regional headquarters in Singapore. Prior to joining Wachsman, Phan was regional managing director for Teneo Singapore and Southeast Asia, and has held senior leadership roles at Burson-Marsteller and Ogilvy. In his new role, Phan will have extended management responsibilities across all regional headquarters and will be responsible for spearheading Wachsman’s global growth strategy, including the expansion of the firm’s intellectual property, service offerings and talent strategy, as well as cross-border client mandates. “Danny has the extraordinary combination of brilliance, vision, and management expertise to lead a sophisticated organization in the next stage of our journey, as we continue to progress as a company and as a consultancy,” said Wachsman founder and CEO David Wachsman.

Healthcare tech company nference has named Anita Kawatra chief corporate affairs officer, a newly created position. Prior to joining nference, Kawatra was a founding executive at Inheris Biopharma and held senior management roles at Elan Pharmaceuticals, Merck and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative. She also served in the administrations of New York City Mayor David Dinkins and New York Governor Mario Cuomo. At nference, Kawatra leads marketing, communications, investor relations, government affairs, corporate social responsibility and business development, and will reporting to nference co-founder and CEO Murali Aravamudan.
