Nissan has promoted Allyson Witherspoon to U.S. chief marketing officer. Witherspoon has most recently served as vice president, marketing communications and media, and she has also been general manager for global brand engagement for the company in Japan. Before coming to Nissan, she was director of marketing communications for INFINITI and global business director at Havas Worldwide. In her new post, Witherspoon is responsible for marketing communications and media, data innovation and customer experience, enhancing brand value, customer trust and insights, and product marketing.

Riot Games, a video game developer, publisher, and esports tournament organizer, has named Jason Bunge chief marketing officer, a newly created position at the company. Bunge joins Riot Games from Electronic Arts, where he most recently served as senior vice president of global brand management and marketing. His previous positions include vice president marketing and analytics at Trulia and senior director of product marketing at Skype. In his new role, Bunge will oversee Riot's marketing and publishing efforts and lead its global channel strategy teams as the studio transitions to being a multi-game publisher. “Jason's proven track record of deploying and sustaining games and his deep understanding of players are exactly the combination we were looking for in a CMO," said Riot Games president of worldwide publishing Jin Oh.

Hundt was previously an account director at WE Communications, where Health Catalyst was one of her clients. She has also worked at Sparkpr and Racepoint Global.
