Hawkins International Public Relations has named Patrick Merryman digital director. Merryman joins Hawkins International from HL Group, where he served as senior director of digital media, leading the digital team for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. He previously headed the digital media and creative strategy team at Next Guest. Under Merryman, Hawkins International’s digital team will broaden its focus beyond social media to offer a menu of digital media services that integrates media relations, social media, display advertising, influencer partnerships and content creation. "With his wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and industry connections, Patrick will be a huge asset for the agency and all of our client campaigns," said Hawkins International founder and president Jennifer Hawkins.

Fusion Risk Management has appointed Terese Fernandez chief marketing officer. Fernandez joins Fusion from Regulatory DataCorp, Inc., where she served as global head of marketing and led the company’s go-to-market activities. She was previously CMO at Wolters Kluwer within its governance, risk and compliance line division, and has served as senior vp, global head of strategic marketing at Thomson Reuters; director, corporate marketing at GE; and global head of marketing, corporate finance at Deutsche Bank. Fernandez will join Fusion’s executive leadership team and be responsible for elevating the company’s global brand, expanding market opportunity, and growing the business. “Terese’s strong record of creativity, customer-focus, and global growth aligns perfectly with our culture and commitment to innovation, and will help us accelerate our go-to-market initiatives, global expansion, and growth opportunities,” said Fusion CEO Michael Campbell.

Amber Bennett |
The American Herbal Products Association has promoted Amber Bennett to vice president of marketing and engagement, a newly created position. Bennett joined AHPA as director of membership in July 2015. Before joining AHPA, she was an associate publisher at media company VIRGO (now Informa). In her new position, Bennett will continue to oversee AHPA’s membership department, as well as supervising communications, marketing and education efforts. “Amber will synergize AHPA’s initiatives, communicating more broadly to additional stakeholders and wider audiences as she reimagines public relations and marketing efforts,” said AHPA president Michael McGuffin “Her enthusiasm, energy and can-do attitude make her someone who is invaluable to our members.”
