James Heins, who led the communications function at Purdue Pharma from 2000 to 2015, is joining LaVoieHealthScience as senior vice president and managing director of its New York practice.
Heins comes to LHS from Hill + Knowlton Strategies, where he served as managing director. His previous posts include senior vice president at ICR/Westwicke and executive vice president at Cooney Waters. Before joining Purdue, he was manager, public affairs at Boehringer Ingelheim.
In his new role, Heins will provide senior-level communications counsel to LHS’s roster of biopharmaceutical, medical technology, health IT, and health care services clients. He will also expand the firm’s New York-based integrated investor and public relations team.
