Ariel Invests in Edelman's Patrick

At Edelman, Patrick also served as transaction director in the firm’s financial communications & capital markets group, working on mergers & acquisitions, restructurings and other strategic matters.
Before coming to Edelman, she held several roles within the financial communications, crisis communications & issues management, and corporate reputation management practices at Weber Shandwick.
In her new position, Patrick will oversee and integrate all aspects of Ariel’s communications, including media relations, public and community affairs, internal communications, corporate and executive leadership communications, branding and content marketing. She will serve on the firm’s operating committee, and report to co-CEO Mellody Hobson.
Patrick’s “vision, creativity and expertise will add tremendous value, both externally to our clients and stakeholders, as well as internally with our dedicated colleagues,” said Hobson.
Founded in 1983, Chicago-based Ariel is a global value-based asset management firm. As of Dec. 8, its firm-wide assets under management totaled approximately $13B.
