Customer relationship management platform giant Salesforce has named Sarah Franklin chief marketing officer.
Franklin assumes the new position immediately. She succeeds Stephanie Buscemi, who's held the top marketer role since August 2018.
Franklin has been with the San Francisco-based tech behemoth since 2008. She most recently served as EVP and GM, platform, trailhead and developers. In that role, she led Salesforce’s developer and education initiatives.
Announcing the promotion on Twitter, Franklin said she’s “Incredibly humbled, honored, grateful to be working with the best team in the biz.”
Salesforce in Dec. announced it would acquire enterprise communications platform Slack for a reported $27.7 billion.
