Motion hires Tim Skau as director of social media. Skau comes to Motion from Guaranteed Rate in Chicago, where he was director of social media strategy. He was previously the social media manager for news network Newsy. At Motion, Skau will spearhead social media and content strategy for Motion’s clients, integrating best practices across all traditional and emerging platforms. The agency has also hired John Nelson as an account supervisor in the PR department, specializing in corporate reputation and B2B PR/marketing campaigns. Nelson joins Motion from OutVox, where he was business development manager. He has also worked at both SSPR and Edelman, developing campaigns for more than 80 companies.

Steinreich Communications Group names Joshua Steinreich national media relations manager. He was previously a senior account executive in the agency’s corporate and issues management group. In this role, he will be working directly with the agency’s senior team on client initiatives with national reach and assist their teams in making placements. “Josh has developed into a terrific media placement professional who can work with clients and account teams to refine a story narrative and effectively align it with the needs of some of the top news organizations in the country,” said Steinreich Communications president and CEO Stan Steinreich.

Panopto, a video management system provider, has hired Dave Neway as vice president of marketing. Neway joins Panopto from IBM Watson Advertising and Weather, where he was head of marketing. Before coming to IBM, he served as senior manager, strategic solutions at Pandora. In his new post, Neway will help build mainstream awareness for Panopto, and educate potential users about the “virtuous cycle” between video creation, discoverability, access, and measurement. “Dave will be instrumental in helping us achieve our mission to help anyone share knowledge using video,” said Panopto Chief Operating Officer Sean Gorman.

Adolfson & Peterson Construction has named Ben Saukko director of communications. Saukko comes to the company from Aramark Uniform Services, where he also held the director of communications spot. He was previously at AmeriPrides Services, which merged with Aramark in 2018. Before that, he was a marketing communications manager at Ameriprise Financial Services and an account supervisor at Weber Shandwick. In his new role, Saukko will support and activate AP’s business strategy through internal, external and executive communications.





Netflix has hired Instacart’s Dani Dudeck as chief communications officer, effective Jan. 12. She also handled communications at Zynga and MySpace.
Deborah Sierchio, who was at Coyne PR for over two decades, has moved to Krupp, where she is taking on the role of EVP, managing director.
