Golin promotes Ellen Ryan Mardiks to global chairman. Fred Cook, chairman since 2017, becomes chair emeritus. Mardiks, who has been with Golin for over three decades, will be responsible for shaping work products and agency IP. Her duties will include adapting and enhancing The Playbook, Golin’s internal step-by-step planning process, which was designed to produce better earned-first, data-driven creative. She also will serve as an executive consultant to C-suite leaders for some of the agency’s largest clients, including Humana, Nestlé and Walmart. “Ellen is one of the most gifted and talented client counsellors in Golin’s history,” said CEO Matt Neale. “She helps clients, from our oldest to our newest, understand the value of earned-first ideas to drive business.”

PAN Communications ups Jenny Radloff to VP. Radloff, who has been with the agency since 2010, most recently served as director. In her new post, she will play a larger role in PAN’s dedicated mentorship program. A member of the agency’s DEI leadership team, Radloff played a key role developing its Issues Response Team, a group sharing external communications guidance with staff. “Jenny is the epitome of leading by example. She doesn't just anticipate client needs or react to what's in front of her; she takes her breadth and depth of industry knowledge and strategizes on how to move the needle for a company,” said PAN senior vice president Nikki Festa.

Novitas Communications elevates Krista Crouch to VP. Crouch joined Novitas last year as a manager. Before that, she was public relations and social media manager at MJ Freeway, a company that creates software for cannabis businesses. Crouch has worked with companies on owned, earned and paid strategies including community engagement, digital messaging and strategy, messaging, positioning and internal and external communications. “Not only has she been instrumental to helping us navigate the tumult throughout 2020, but she has been able to help develop and implement the culture of excellence and accountability that is critically important to me and to our success,” said Novitas founder and CEO Michelle Lyng.
