French/​West/​Vaughan promotes Rachel Swanson to senior VP. Swanson, who first joined FWV in 2012, most recently served as VP. She oversees an clients in sectors ranging from food and beverage to fashion and lifestyle. In addition, CGPR (FWV’s Greater Boston office) has named Meryl Rader as VP president. In this role, she will also serve as account service director, overseeing clients across the active lifestyle, outdoor, technology and travel sectors. The agency’s dedicated pet and veterinary practice FWV Fetching, out of Tampa, FL has appointed Mackenzie Smith group account director.

Violet PR ups Christina Forrest to account director. Forrest has been with the agency since 2014, most recently serving as account manager. She previously worked at Litzky Public Relations and non-profit organization Move for Hunger. In her new post, Forrest will manage media relations, content development and social media programs. "The success of our boutique PR firm is due in large part to Christina's hard work and creativity over the last seven years," said Violet PR president April Mason.

Capstone Hill Search, which places executives in PR, communications, creative, digital and marketing businesses, hires Rachel Ramos as VP of the firm’s US operations. Ramos was previously VP, creative services at staffing service ThinkTPG. CHS has also named Brianna Hartz, Julia Thomas and Amy Pattison-Emms to senior positions. Hartz comes on board as managing consultant in CHS’s New York office. Thomas joins CHS’s London office from VMA Group, and serves as principal consultant, public and corporate affairs. Pattison-Emms, who previously was a senior consultant at Gemini People, also joins CHS’s London operations as a principal consultant. “Rachel, Brianna, Julia and Amy each bring unique and diverse backgrounds, yet common specialist knowledge and understanding of the integrated communications and marketing industries in which we operate,” said Capstone Hill Search global managing director Matthew Ver Bruggen.
