W2O brings on Stephanie Garcia as chief people officer. Garcia joins W2O from Postmates, where she was senior vice president, people and civic labs. Before that, she led global HR and business performance at PayPal and Salesforce. She also held HR leadership roles at Life Technologies Corporation, a leader in biotech solutions. “Stephanie brings incredible energy and a refreshing perspective that will help us achieve our ambitious vision for the future,” said W2O founder and CEO Jim Weiss.
Precision has hired Roselyn Igbani to serve as its first creative director and Tim Rice to serve as a director in its Strategic Communications practice. Igbani was previously senior art director at DDC Public Affairs, overseeing the vision and execution of digital campaigns and managing a staff of over 15 creatives. Before that, she was a designer and art director at SevenTwenty Strategies. Rice was most recently an executive vice president, managing director at BCW. He has also worked as a senior director at Burson-Marsteller and manager, corporate communications at PNC Financial Services Group. His areas of expertise include corporate and brand positioning, executive communications and visibility, strategic media relations, issues management, and headline risk mitigation.
New York State Department of Financial Services names Sophia Kim director of communications. Kim joined DFS in 2019 as press secretary. She was previously a director in the public affairs practice at SKDKnickerbocker’s New York office and a spokeswoman for the Fire Department of the City of New York, working with senior leaders on crisis communications, media relations and rapid response during fires and emergency incidents. She also served as a deputy press secretary at the U.S. Small Business Administration.
JetBlue hires Jayne O’Brien as head of marketing and loyalty. O’Brien comes to JetBlue from Scenic—Luxury Cruises & Tours, where she was managing director, USA. Before that, she was senior vice president of global brands at Intercontinental Hotel Group, chief marketing officer for Dubai Properties Group and head of global brand & UK marketing at British Airways. In her new post, O’Brien is responsible for the airline’s brand, marketing and advertising, e-commerce and TrueBlue loyalty program.
