MDC Partners brings on Deirdre McGlashan as chief media officer, a newly created role at the company. McGlashan was most recently global chief digital officer at MediaCom. In her new role, she will work to evolve MDC's global media, data and technology capabilities; identify emerging media platforms, partners, and technology solutions; and lead collaborative global pitch opportunities at the network level. "Deirdre's deep, international view of the digital ecosystem, leadership directing massive global digital ad spends, and expertise marrying data, technology and communications into modern marketing solutions, is exactly what clients need to innovate today,” said MDC Partners chairman and CEO Mark Penn.
B/HI, a new division of 42West, promotes Nicole Yavasile and Jonah Keel from senior directors to vice presidents. Yavasile, who has been with the agency for nearly 12 years, creates and executes global and domestic publicity and communications strategies for film, television, mobile gaming, publishing and streaming content, consumer products and global franchises. Before coming to B/HI in 2017, Keel was a campaign strategy manager at Click Communications. As the lead of B/HI’s video games and esports practice, Keel’s clients include Nexon, Survios, Tencent, Wildlife Studios and GreenPark Sports. Joining Keel in the video games/esports practice is Jamie King, former PR manager of Wargaming America and senior communications manager for Wizards of the Coast.
