SourceCode Communications launches WeRaise PR, a full-service agency that delivers integrated campaigns to brands while advancing working mothers in the PR industry. WeRaise was founded to support what it calls “an empathy-first working culture that enables working mothers to excel professionally.” The agency is led by Moon Vitiello, who previously was a co-founder and partner at Crave Communications. “Following the launch of our Diversity Marketing Consortium and in response to the crisis facing working women caused by the COVID Pandemic, we wanted to build an agency that works with personal priorities not against them,” said SourceCode co-founder and managing partner Rebecca Honeyman.
Allison+Partners forms a three-year partnership with The Hampton University Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications that will establish a student mentor awards program, enhance the school’s public relations curricula, and develop client partnerships with BRAND757, the school’s student-run PR and branding agency. The student mentor program, which will be called the SOAR (Scripps Opportunity and Achiever) Award, will select a graduating senior, Strategic Communications SHSJC student who will be paired with a mentor to build a relationship with a professional from their selected field of growth. “Building partnerships that link our classrooms to top creative houses in this dynamic, media communications industry is key to the success of our students,” said B. DàVida Plummer, dean of the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications.
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia-based W7Worldwide takes home the PRCA MENA 2021 International Campaign Award for its Communicating Through Covid-19 Resource Centre. PRCA director general Francis Ingraham called the program, which consists of best practice guides to help businesses through the crisis, “a unique and educational industry initiative.” W7Worldwide entered the awards to raise its profile as a leading independent agency in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region. “Attaining such high-level regional and global industry recognition with multiple award wins and recommendations is an important milestone for W7Worldwide,” said agency co-founder Abdullah Inayat.
