CGPR, French/West/Vaughan’s Boston-area office specializing in the outdoor, fitness, fashion, lifestyle and travel sectors, has been selected by Bern, Crazy and Softies by Paddi Murphy to support public relations efforts for all three brands. CGPR will help each brand navigate its initiatives amid COVID-19, promoting thought leadership, driving 2021 product launches and providing ongoing media relations and trade show support. Bern produces a line of street-inspired helmets; Crazy is an outdoor apparel brand which is set to expand its U.S. offerings this fall; and Softies offers loungewear, sleepwear and robes. Acquired by FWV in 2020, CGPR also works with such outdoor brands as adidas Terrex, Birkis, Helly Hansen, Kelty, LifeStraw, Outdoor Industry Association and Outdoor Retailer.

Girl Scouts

R&J Strategic Communications is named agency of record for the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey. Through a proactive media relations and thought leadership strategy, R&J will position GSNNJ as the preeminent girls’ leadership development organization in northern New Jersey with the goal of increasing membership and volunteer participation and supporting fundraising efforts. GSNNJ serves girls ages 5 to 18 in Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and northern Warren counties. “By utilizing our media relations expertise and our deep knowledge of the New Jersey media market, we will shine a spotlight on inspiring stories of girls’ achievements, further giving them a voice and a platform for the issues and causes they are passionate about,” said R&J executive vice president Tiffany Miller.

Rainier Communications signs on as PR agency of record for several new technology-startup clients, including Techology Commerce Management and WarpUV. For TCM, Rainier will work to establish and grow the e-commerce aggregator’s North American market presence and highlight its AI and machine learning technological advantages. The agency will handle TCM’s strategy, messaging, analyst and media relations, content and social media. WarpUV, which produces airport bio-security systems, has engaged Rainier to handle all aspects of its marketing efforts to target security infrastructure decision makers, including go-to-market strategy, market messaging, content creation, and analyst and media relations. Other new technology-related AOR clients for the firm include AI Redefined, MeaTech, NexWafe and RadSee.
