MDC Partners hires Michaela Pewarski as VP-investor relations. Pewarski joins MDC from artificial intelligence company Afiniti, where she served as director of investor relations, FP&A, and corporate development. She previously worked for Macquarie Capital as a vice president in its equities sales division, where she managed the bank’s relationship with institutional investors in the New York and Mid-Atlantic regions. Cocke comes to MP&F from Nashville-based The Buntin Group, where he was senior vice president, group creative director. MTV Entertainment Group names Jason White chief marketing officer. White comes to MTV from cannabis company Curaleaf, where he also served as CMO. He has served as global head of marketing at Beats by Dr. Dre, and was managing director of Wieden + Kennedy’s Shanghai office. In his new position, White is charged with overseeing marketing for all of MTV Entertainment Group’s propertiesm which include Paramount Network, CMT, VH1, TV Land and Logo. He will also work to develop campaigns to drive subscriber growth and brand enrichment, as well as issue-oriented efforts. He will report to MTV Entertainment Group president Chris McCarthy, and serve on his leadership team.
