India, which has been ravaged by COVID-19, has signed Ferox Strategies for outreach on Capitol Hill.
Taranjit Singh Sandhu, India’s US ambassador, signed the agreement with Ferox. The firm handles strategic counsel, tactical planning and government relations assistance on policy matters before the US Congress and select state governments, as well as academic institutions and think-tanks.
The $60K contract runs through June 30 and may be extended for another three-month run.
Ferox CEO Cristina Antelo works the India business. She launched Ferox after an eight-year stint at Podesta.
Antelo is a founding member and former president of the Hispanic Lobbyists Assn. and ex-interim CEO of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.

The really disgusting fact is that many of us urged Trump at least 10 months ago to form an international partnership to develop the vaccines for a worldwide tragedy, something that might have mitigated the India disaster and helped poorer countries. Not only did he fail to think about it while implementing something called "Warp Speed" for America, he walked away from the whole issue to do his electioneering, never once visiting a single hospital or patient for which there were not photo ops.
More than that, the tens of billions that will accrue to the pharma books have done much good in America but much less elsewhere as both Trump and the United States could have been seen heroically.
One has to wonder where the PR minds were and are that could have encouraged our pushing for action through and with WTO even if Trump could take credit for the idea.
