Ketchum promotes Jamey Peters to chief client operations officer for North America, effective immediately. Peters has been with Ketchum since 2004, most recently serving as partner and managing director, overseeing the firm’s automotive, energy & manufacturing; retail; financial & professional services; and travel, hospitality & leisure sectors—a role he will continue to hold. In his new post, Peters will also be tasked with elevating and optimizing the agency’s client experience, engaging its industry and specialty communications services, and operationalizing its proprietary consultancy framework. “Jamey is one of our most respected and experienced client counselors, who is equally adept at onboarding new engagements as he is nurturing our longest-standing client relationships,” said Ketchum North America president Neera Chaudhary.

Comcast appoints Toni Beck, vice president of external affairs for the company’s Houston Region. In this role, Beck will be responsible for managing all external affairs activities for the region, including government affairs, communications, community, media and public relations. She comes to Comcast from NextDecade Corporation, where she served as vice president, communications and community relations. "She has a proven track record as a results-driven external affairs executive and motivational leader,” said Comcast Houston regional senior vice president Ralph Martines. “Her commitment and expertise will be instrumental in telling Comcast’s story to external stakeholders.”

Hamilton Place Strategies adds Cailin Schmeer, Patrice Smith and Michael Sargent as directors. Schmeer joins HPS from the US Department of Treasury, where she served as the chief speechwriter to Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin and a director of public affairs, focusing on the Paycheck Protection Program, the Financial Stability Oversight Council, and other domestic finance programs. Smith was previously communications director in the U.S. House of Representatives and has worked as a speechwriter and media relations liaison for Sen. Tim Scott (R–SC). Sargent comes to HPS from Madrus LLC, a strategic transportation and infrastructure consulting firm, where he served as director of policy and research. "Their experience working in the public and private sectors on some of the most pressing issues of our time will be of great benefit to our clients and to the HPS family at large," said HPS partner Tucker Warren.
