Susan Davis International names Spencer Geissinger as VP. Geissinger joins SDI from Showcall, Inc., a DC-based event production firm, where he served as director and vice president since 2014. He has also served as director of external affairs and director of the Washington DC office for former Florida Governor Rick Scott Governor of Florida, and deputy assistant to President George W. Bush for operations at the White House. At SDI, Geissinger will lead the event management and business development practices and spearhead the agency’s go-to market strategies. “His impressive background and reputation as a proven leader, both in D.C. and nationwide, will prove to be a valuable asset,” said SDI chairman Susan Davis.

Goodfuse hires Ellene Hu as senior vice president, Abigail Obre as vice president, and Joe Jordan as VP, creative director. All three are new positions for the agency. Hu was most recently head of marketing at E-Alternative Solutions. She has also held executive marketing positions at Philips and Estēe Lauder. At Goodfuse, Hu will be responsible for driving client results by further incorporating data analysis and innovative ideation. Obre comes to Goodfuse from Cancer Treatment Centers of America, where she led media relations and communications. She will be tasked with reputation management and crisis communications for Goodfuse’s healthcare clients. Jordan has created programming for such brands as LG, All-Clad, Heineken, Philips Lighting and Johnson & Johnson. He will lead creative and web development efforts across all Goodfuse clients.

Footwear company Caleres appoints Jennifer Olsen as chief marketing officer, effective June 28. Olsen was most recently CMO at casual men's apparel company UNTUCKit. She has also served as vice president of media marketing for Yahoo! and held the CMO post at StitchFix and Crate & Barrel. At Caleres, Olson will oversee all brand marketing including consumer analytics, media and creative. “Her strong marketing, consumer research and digital background align perfectly with our strategic priorities, including strengthening the power and broadening the reach of our brands and products and accelerating digital growth with stronger consumer connections,” said Caleres chairman and CEO Diane Sullivan.
