The Department of Energy names Bridget Bartol deputy director of its Office of Public Affairs. Bartol was most recently a vice president of public affairs at SKDKnickerbocker, where she specialized in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and media relations for corporate, nonprofit, advocacy and crisis clients. Before she joined SKDK, Bartol was media relations managers at Securing America’s Future Energy and she was previously deputy press secretary at DOE during the Obama Administration.

Celebrity Cruises appoints Michael Scheiner senior vice president and chief marketing officer, effective July 12. Scheiner comes to Celebrity Cruises from Tommy Hilfiger, where he served as global chief marketing officer. Before that, he was a senior VP and CMO at Abecrombie & Fitch. He is also an advisor to mobile app startup Lawzy, In his new post, Scheiner will oversee all aspects of driving customer acquisition, brand loyalty and e-commerce globally. “As I thought about what will define a brand's success for the future, Michael's deep expertise in the digital landscape, global execution and merchandising and experience leading strong teams checked all of the boxes,” said Celebrity Cruises president and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo.

Rosales most recently served as senior vice president of communications for medical apparel manufacturer Careismatic Brands. She was previously vice president, communications and public relations at Mattel. In her new role, her focus will be on corporate communications, brand public relations and the company’s philanthropic efforts. “Sara is a seasoned leader who has successfully driven corporate communication strategies, developed high-performing teams and executed on major initiatives,” said Jazwares president & chief commercial officer Laura Zebersky.
