Erick Sanchez |
United Public Affairs names Erick Sanchez head of NCAA NIL (names, images or likeness) mentorship and management, a role created in light of the NCAA’s new policy for student-athletes. Sanchez most recently served as traveling press secretary for Andrew Yang’s 2020 presidential campaign. He has also been a principal at Quixotic LLC, and was Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) press secretary. In his new role, Sanchez will work directly with student-athletes to offer best practice resources in understanding how to consider personal branding and sponsorships. He will also work with them to identify sponsors for partnership. “My goal will be to ensure that this new policy brings student-athletes closer to their goals instead of becoming a potential barrier in the future,” said Sanchez.

He will also promote the club’s community relations and social justice initiatives.
