Erica Elliott Richardson, managing director at FTI Consulting, will join the Investment Company Institute as chief public communications officer on Aug. 16.
At FTI, Richardson led its financial services PA practice, focused on counseling clients on political risk, reputation challenges and media relations.
Earlier, she was director at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s PA office and began her career on Capitol Hill as communications officer for the House Financial Services Committee during the global financial meltdown.
ICI is the trade group for regulated funds (exchange-related/mutual funds and unit investment trusts). Its goal is to encourage high ethical standards and generate public understanding of the industry.
