Wachsman, a communications consultancy serving the blockchain, fintech and emerging tech industry, names Marcello Fregulia chief financial officer. Fregulia comes to Wachsman from Ketchum, where he served as CFO, North America. He has also served as CFO, West Region at MRM//McCann and director of finance and operations at SapientRazorfish. In his new role, Fregulia will have global management responsibilities for treasury, financial operations and growth strategy. Wachsman also promotes Liam Murphy, who most recently served as director in the firm’s Dublin office, to managing director of Wachsman EMEA.

Lionsgate promotes Marisa Liston to president of worldwide marketing for its motion picture group. Liston joined the company in 2019 as executive vice president for earned media and communications, and has been leading the marketing department since March. Before coming to Lionsgate, she worked at Sony Pictures for 17 years, most recently serving as executive vice president of domestic publicity. In her new role, Liston will oversee marketing campaigns for all upcoming Lionsgate films. “Her creative instincts will allow us to maximize each movie’s potential across all platforms and her leadership and entertainment experience has already earned her the wide respect of filmmakers, talent, executives, and colleagues across the industry,” said Liongate Motion Picture Group chairman Joe Drake.

VaynerX, the holding that includes VaynerMedia and digital marketing agency The Sasha Group, brings on Vanessa Vining as chief diversity officer. Vining most recently served as senior director, cross-cultural strategy and head of diversity, equity and inclusion at Hearts & Science, the Omnicom Group media agency. Before that, she was senior media director at fluent 360. In her new position, Vining will lead the diversity, equity and inclusion efforts globally across Vayner X’s companies, reporting to VaynerX chairman and VaynerMedia CEO Gary Vaynerchuk.
