BCW appoints Drew O’Brien as president of its Direct Impact unit, which executes state and local strategic communications and public affairs campaigns, effective Sept. 7. O’Brien will remain BCW’s Northeast market leader. Before joining BCW in 2017, he was an executive vice president in Weber Shandwick’s corporate practice. O’Brien will be responsible for building DI’s offerings, growing its client base and overseeing talent management in partnership with Amy Cloessner, recently named DI’s chief operating officer. “Drew is a great fit to lead DI thanks to his years providing complex strategic counsel to clients and his deep experience in high-impact, highly targeted precision communications throughout his years in national, state and local politics,” said BCW global chief growth officer and president, North America Brooke Hovey.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies names Laurie Rosenfield global chief people officer, effective Sept. 13. Rosenfeld joins H+K from CBS Corporation, where she also held the global chief people officer position. She has also held business leadership, talent acquisition and advisory roles at MediaLink, Wolters Kluwer, TiVo, Twentieth Century Fox, and the William Morris Agency. In her new role, Rosenfield will lead H+K’s global human capital strategy across its network. “Laurie is an accomplished leader with a unique combination of experiences spanning human resources, executive search, talent strategy, P&L leadership and operational expertise,” said H+K chief executive officer AnnaMaria DeSalva.

Dollar Shave Club hires Kerry Sullivan as chief marketing officer. Sullivan comes to the company from Johnson & Johnson’s Neutrogena, where she had been since 2003, most recently serving as general manager and vice president of marketing. She succeeds Kristin Harrer, who left Dollar Shave Club in April to take on the global CMO spot at footwear and apparen brand Vans. At Dollar Shave Club, Sullivan duties include leading global brand equity, long-range strategic planning, product development, and insights/analytics.

Leary-Perez comes to Hubilo from customer experience technology and services company TTEC, where she was global head of corporate marketing.
