Netflix names Lucinda Martinez VP of multicultural marketing, a newly created position. Martinez most recently served as executive VP of HBO and HBO Max brand marketing. She was previously EVP, multicultural marketing, brand & inclusion strategy at HBO, and has also served as director of partnership marketing at Comedy Central. At Netflix, Martinez will be tasked with building a multicultural marketing team and leading the platform’s marketing efforts to the Latino, Black, Asian, LGBTQ and faith audiences. “Lucinda is a leader in the space and under her direction we will continue to sharpen the inclusion lens in our marketing and engage our audiences in authentic and culturally relevant ways,” said Netflix CMO Bozoma Saint John.

Instacart online grocery platform,brings on Troy Clair as head of public engagement. Clair comes to Instacart from Amazon, where he was head of strategic public policy partnerships. He was previously chief of staff for North Carolina congressman G.K. Butterfield, and served as state director for North Carolina in Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presential campaign. At Instacart, he will oversee the policy & government affairs department’s strategic partnerships, grassroots mobilization and advocacy campaign teams.

Notarize, which provides remote online notarization services, names Lisa Kalscheur as the company’s first chief marketing officer. Kalscheur comes to Notarize from cloud commerce solutions company Kibo, where she also held the CMO post. She has served as senior vice president, marketing at NewsCred and vice president, marketing at AppNexus. At Notarize, Kalscheur will oversee product marketing, performance marketing, demand generation, communications and ecommerce. “Lisa brings tremendous experience building market-leading brands through global marketing and communications efforts," said Notarize founder and CEO Pat Kinsel.
