Jon Henes has launched C Street Advisory Group to help potential clients navigate what the nearly 20-year Kirkland & Ellis partner calls the “era of reputation.”
As young workers focus on social justice and diversity issues, organizations must determine the best strategies to position their company to both do well and good,” said Henes, who was national finance chair for Kamala Harris for the People and co-finance chair for Ray McGuire’s bid for NYC mayor.
Antara Capital is helping to bankroll C Street, which will focus on business transactions; diversity, equity & inclusion; talent recruitment/retention; and communications and crisis services.
The communications group includes crisis chief Melissa Prober, ex-associate counsel at the New York Genome Center and Clinton Global Initiative; external affairs head Lisa Hernandez Gioia, a CGI, Hillary for America and Related Companies’ Hudson Yards development veteran; and communications director Maddie Sewani, a five-year Kekst CNC alum.
Based in New York, C Street will target public/private companies, law firms, investment banks, private equity firms, hedge funds and foundations.

Senior-most communications executives in the Fortune 500 earned between $50,000 and $100,000 more this year than they did two years ago, according to a recent survey of chief communications officers.

The pressure is on PR pros to make sure corporate messaging remains clear and cohesive. Business jargon is an obstacle to achieving this goal.
In today's volatile world of constant disruption, the ability to offer reliability and dependability is more valuable than ever.
