Hasbro hires Carrie Ratner as senior vice president, global corporate communications. Ratner joins Hasbro from PepsiCo, where she led global external communications and reputation management. Before that, she was vice president for global corporate, internal and crisis communications at Starwood Hotels and Resorts and served as a principal at Sard Verbinnen & Co. At Hasbro, Ratner will be responsible for leading the company’s external and internal corporate communications and storytelling strategy, as well as directing its corporate communications team. Based at Hasbro’s corporate headquarters, she will report to Hasbro executive vice president and chief purpose officer Kathrin Belliveau. “With Carrie’s leadership and broad experience, we will further elevate Hasbro’s vast portfolio of beloved brands and rich content across consumer products, gaming, tv and film,” said Belliveau.

Digital consultancy Appnovation names Penny Wilson chief marketing officer. Wilson joins Appnovation from Hootsuite where she was CMO, leading the brand’s corporate, product marketing, sales development, online growth and customer support. She has also served as CMO at Juniper Networks and Macromedia, as well as holding senior executive positions at Alias|Wavefront and Merrill Lynch. At Appnovation, Wilson will lead the brand’s global marketing strategy as the consultancy continues to grow its geographical footprint and service offerings. “Penny has a proven track record of building business strategies that deliver outstanding business growth and market dominance,” said Appnovation CEO and founder Arnold Leung.
