The Next Practices Group names Ray Kerins as chief executive officer of its Next Security Group, which will focus on public affairs and all forms of security, ranging from cybersecurity to physical protection to new models in how to protect corporations. Kerins comes to NextSec from Bayer, where he was senior vice president of corporate affairs. He managed all communications, government relations and policy for the company's main businesses. Previously, Kerins vice president of external affairs & worldwide communications at Pfizer and executive director, public affairs at Merck. He will assume his leadership position on Nov. 1 and will be located at the company's New York City office. "Ray joins at a pivotal time as we prepare to launch a series of new offerings from anti-counterfeiting to a new intelligence and listening platform for the private sector and more," said The Next Practices Group chairman Bob Pearson.

The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts appoints Susan Fraysse Russ as senior director of marketing & communications. Russ was most recently a strategic communications consultant at Fandom, the world's largest fan platform. Before that, she was senior vice president at The Association of Magazine Media and has also served as Vice President of Communications for the Reader's Digest Association. Russ will lead brand and event marketing efforts and work closely with all areas of the organization to develop, strategize, and communicate the mission-driven narrative and social impact of the organization. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is a 15,000-seat performing arts center, conservatory, and museum on the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival in Bethel, NY. "She will help us further our mission and succeed in growing Bethel Woods' outreach by engaging and mobilizing even wider audiences," said Bethel Woods CEO Eric Frances.

Harness, software delivery platform, appoints Scott Sanchez as chief marketing officer. Sanchez was most recently head of cloud native and developer marketing at Amazon Web Services. He was previously vice president of marketing and strategy at Metacloud, which Cisco acquired in 2014 to accelerate its cloud business. In his new post, Sanchez will lead the company's marketing strategy and focus on building awareness for Harness and driving engagement in the key developer and open source communities that it supports. "Scott's experiences growing large and small organizations alike, helping companies innovate more quickly, and growing mature services make him perfect for the role," said Harness CEO and co-founder Jyoti Bansal.
