ABC News hires CNN VP of communications Alison Rudnick as VP of corporate communications. At CNN, she also led the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Rudnick previously served as director, corporate communications at Discovery and director, public relations at NBCUniverslal Media. In her new post, she will oversee management and development of the news division brand, and assist with executive communications and handle issues and crisis management. “Alison is a seasoned communications executive with sharp instincts and an eye for innovative communications strategies,” ABC News president Kim Godwin said in a note to staffers.

Alicia Tillman |
Fintech company Capitolis appoints Alicia Tillman global chief marketing officer. Tillman comes to Capitolis from enterprise software company SAP, where she also held the global CMO position. She was previously global vice president, marketing, public affairs and business services at American Express. At Capitolis, Tillman will work to build the company’s worldwide marketing and communications strategy. “Alicia has an incredible track record of building high-performing teams in large-scale companies that deliver superior levels of company brand value, awareness, demand, and loyalty,” said Capitolis CEO and founder Gil Mandelzis.

Andy Izquierdo |
Sound Transit, a public transit agency serving the Seattle metropolitan area, brings on Andy Izquierdo as chief communications officer. Izquierdo was most recently CCO at Waste Management, which provides integrated environmental solutions. Previously, he served as vice president of global public affairs at KFC and vice president, corporate affairs at PetSmart. At Sound Transit, Izquierdo will be responsible for maintaining public awareness of system expansions, promoting ridership on Sound Transit's trains and buses, and working to maintain high employee engagement. “Andy’s communications experience and passion for community engagement will be critical on our journey to deliver the largest transit expansion program in the nation,” said Sound Transit CEO Peter Rogoff.
