The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences promotes Jennifer Davidson to chief communications officer. Davidson previously served as the organization’s executive vice president of communications. Before coming to AMPAS, she was an executive VP at Babygrande PR, vice president media relations at Sony Pictures Television and manager of media relations at NBC Entertainment. In her new role, Davidson will continue to oversee publicity and corporate communications campaigns for the Oscars and internal membership communications, in addition to press outreach for other programming, education, preservation and inclusion events and efforts. “Her knowledge of our media and film community, and her years of experience have made her an invaluable part of our senior leadership team and the entire Academy,” said AMPAS chief executive officer Dawn Hudson.

Paul Hanke |
Golden Corral names Paul Hanke chief marketing officer. Hanke comes to the company from Applebee’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill, where he most recently served as executive director of brand marketing. He was previously a senior brand manager at Procter & Gamble, and has worked at AOL and Deutsche Bank. “He comes at the perfect time as we continue to launch innovative initiatives like our virtual brand and drive-thru service,” Golden Corral president and CEO Lance Trenary said in a statement.

Mary Clark |
Brivo, which provides cloud-based access control and smart building technologies for enterprise, commercial and multifamily properties, appoints Mary Clark as CMO. Clark joins the company from software developer Synchronoss, where she was CMO and chief product officer. Before that she held the CMO spot at Syniverse, which offers telecommunications and enterprise solutions. “Mary's experience in launching, marketing and growing SaaS technology businesses globally positions Brivo to maximize its opportunity in the PropTech revolution," said Brivo founder and CEO Steve Van Till.
