Brunswick Group has hired Mark Patterson, general counsel to Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, as senior advisor in its Washington office.
A former chief of staff at the Treasury Dept. during the Obama administration, Patterson has extensive fiscal, legal, tax and financial services expertise.
He was a policy director for former Democratic Majority Leader Tom Daschle and legislative director to New York Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan.
Patterson has private sector experience gained as partner at Perkins Coie and managing director at Goldman Sachs.
Neal Wolin, Brunswick CEO, said Patterson has “a deep understanding of critical issues with which organizations increasingly need to engage.”


Netflix has hired Instacart’s Dani Dudeck as chief communications officer, effective Jan. 12. She also handled communications at Zynga and MySpace.
Deborah Sierchio, who was at Coyne PR for over two decades, has moved to Krupp, where she is taking on the role of EVP, managing director.

Nick Clegg, who was global affairs president at Meta in a seven-year run, has joined London's Hiro Capital investment firm as a general partner.
Burson brings on Bruce Haynes, who served as global co-chairman of the crisis communications and issues management unit at FGS Global, as U.S. head of public affairs.
