U.S. Ski & Snowboard names Guy Slattery chief marketing officer. Slattery was previously CMO at VICE Media, where he built and led the team that launched the VICELAND television network. Before that, he was EVP of marketing at A+E Networks and led marketing and communications for the National Geographic Channel. In his new post, he will oversee the strategy and execution of U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s marketing, communications, social media, broadcasts, content development, events and creative services. “His extensive successes in entertainment marketing and content development align very well with our organization’s vision for the future of snow sports,” said U.S. Ski & Snowboard president and CEO Sophie Goldschmidt.

Sydney Feldman

Diamond Public Relations + Social Media promotes Sydney Feldman to associate VP, luxury & LATAM divisions. Feldman has been with the firm since 2014. In her new post, she will be responsible for team development and guiding strategies toward client results, in addition to business development support. Clients she works with include Mexico’s W Punta de Mita, Jade Mountain in St. Lucia and Thompson Buckhead in Atlanta. “She is confident, tenacious and driven—all things that will continue to serve her well in this executive, leadership position,” said Diamond PR chief executive officer Jody Diamond.

V Foundation
Jonathan Karron, Timothy Minor

The V Foundation for Cancer Research hires Jonathan Karron as chief marketing officer and Timothy Minor as chief development officer,. The foundation was founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jim Valvano, North Carolina State University basketball coach and ESPN commentator. Karron, who most recently was vice president of digital marketing at the American Cancer Society, will oversee the V Foundation brand marketing, communications, PR and storytelling, websites, direct marketing, corporate and sports partnerships and community events and fundraising innovation. Minor was previously VP of university advancement for the University of North Carolina System. He will be responsible for leading the major gifts program, along with the development and expansion of regional and national events. “Their drive for the mission, coupled with their depth of experiences and focus on collaboration, means we are well positioned to accelerate cancer research,” said V Foundation CEO Shane Jacobson.
